A music video produced by artist “the Idea of machines” for a song on his latest album “Get Human”.
It follows a group of teenagers sneaking out to a party. One in particular breaking from the group to discover what really matters to him.
“After the Spread” is my first big project and my longest solo work to date. My artistic goals being to have the story and visuals weave together with the beats of the music, and to put a strong emphasis on colour and how it can reflect the mindset of the character and the energy of a space.

Tried a new approach to animation with this project. Focused more on motion than on character design. It had some benefits, but also a LOT of drawbacks! I’m never going to in-between before tying down my blocking ever again!
Character Design Sheets
The only direction I received for character design was to make them “emo”. I ran with this idea and based each character off of a different music genre subculture!
